Management Team

The SEAFORCE team of people consist of professional engineers, technologists, marine surveyors and logisticians some of whom are featured below.

David Miers – Director

David spent 30 years in the Navy before leaving in 1996 following his stint as Director Naval Engineering  Policy.  He started SEAFORCE in 1999 after returning to Sydney following a period in the Resort and Hospitality industry as Director Engineering and Marine on the famous luxury HAYMAN island.

Bryan Stapley – Director

Bryan is currently managing the Southern Ocean Maritime Patrol and Response Capability (SOMPARC) contract following a period with the ACPB Systems Program Office with engineering support in Darwin as Chief Engineer. Bryan’s Naval career spanned over 40 years with 36 years in the permanent Navy and the remainder in the Navy Reserves. This was followed by jobs in the engineering and marine industries including a role as General Manager Commercial Operations for Voyages Ayers Rock before returning to Defence.

Peter Stowe – Senior ILS Consultant


Peter is a Master IV and is now providing project management support in Canberra following his role as ILSM for the Armidale Class Patrol Boat Project. Prior to this, he was working with Customs and Border Protection Service out of Darwin as a contractor.

Simon Blake – Principal Consultant



Simon has spent over thirty years working in the maritime industry.   He has worked in a number of locations around the world as a uniformed Naval Engineering Officer, as a Senior Manager in Defence Industry, as a Director within the Defence Department, and as a Consultant.   Simon is an experienced engineer with extensive regulatory experience.   He has a particular interest (and experience) in project management, scheduling and training development.
