SEAFORCE is a 100% Australian owned and operated company that specialises in providing a full suite of Project Management and Engineering capability: either as specific services provided by individual consultants, or as a complete solution involving an integrated team of specialists. SEAFORCE is currently in major contracts to deliver goods and services to a range of Government agencies.
Fields of expertise include contract and project management, engineering, logistics, risk assessment and management, training, technical assessment, document development and business support services to Customs and Border Protection Service, the Defence Forces, DMO and Defence Industry and to other Government Agencies. SEAFORCE (previously DMAA) has been providing these services for over 10 years. SEAFORCE is ISO 9001:2008 accredited.
SEAFORCE has been accepted on the Defence Materiel Organisation Supply Services (DMOSS) Panel in the following disciplines: Project Support; Systems and Software Engineering; Acquisition and Sustainment Logistics; Business Support Management; Electronics Engineering; Communications Engineering; Weapons Engineering; Platform Engineering; Publications Authoring and Technical Writing; and Training.
SEAFORCE employs more than 40 professional engineers, logisticians, project management specialists, technical officers and sub contractors who have worked most of their lives within the Commercial, Government or Defence or maritime industries. The company prides itself on delivering value for money products and services that meet the needs of its clients. Recent work includes:
• The provision of a Maritime Response Capability to the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service through project and engineering management of the 6,000 tonne vessel, Ocean Protector
• Providing logistic and scheduling services to AIR 9000 HATS and AIR 9000 SCAP1. These projects are pre-Second Pass and the work involved development of the acquisition and project management strategies. This task was extended.
• Providing up to 8 personnel to PBSPO over a period of 4 years. SEAFORCE personnel acted in a range of positions including Chief Engineer and ILS Manager. This task was extended and SEAFORCE staff were commended by Chief of Navy.
• Providing three senior project managers to AAS SPO to supervise other contract staff in a range of engineering, risk, project management and archival activities. This task was extended.
• Providing Chief Engineers’ of the Logistic Support Agency – Navy (LSA-N) and Armidale Patrol Boat System Program Office (ACPB SPO).
• Providing five personnel to overcome critical staffing shortages at FSU Perth (Fleet Support Unit) with the extension clause in this contract being exercised.
• Providing Project Management to AAS SPO for all aspects of the installation of the Typhoon Weapons System.
• Support to the Government of Trinidad and Tobago in the oversight of ship construction.
• Providing Marine Surveyors’ to conduct surveying activities for various commercial maritime operations.

SEAFORCE congratulates Customs and Border Protection on winning prestigious award – August 2011
SEAFORCE worked closely with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on the Southern Ocean Marine Patrol and Response Capability (SOMPARC) project which resulted in CBP being awarded an ACT, Project Development Award for the acquisition of the SEAFORCE vessel, ACV Ocean Protector.

The Ministers announced et el, “HMAS TOBRUK is currently in the final phase of its scheduled maintenance period and is expected to be ready for sea for a short period of time from the end of August to early September before it undergoes further scheduled and previously announced work to prepare for the cyclone season which commences in November.
To provide an amphibious transport capability while HMAS TOBRUK is prepared for cyclone season, Defence has negotiated the availability of the Australian Customs vessel OCEAN PROTECTOR to provide humanitarian assistance and disaster relief sealift response vessel from 12 August until 14 October 2011.
The OCEAN PROTECTOR is in addition to the Australia’s agreement with New Zealand that the New Zealand amphibious lift ship HMNZS CANTERBURY would be made available as part fo the joint Pacific-focused Ready Response Force, subject to any operational requirements in New Zealand…”

SEAFORCE is providing one of its senior staff, Craig Kerr, to the Amphibious Afloat Support System Program Office (AASSPO) in Sydney as the Chief Engineer and Craig was recently awarded DMO Level 2 Engineering Authority delegation.
Ray Rees a SEAFORCE senior consultant is currently assisting the Navy’s Master Attendant (MA) with engineering and technical regulatory oversight with the Fleet Marine Services Contract (FMSC).
Australian Customs and Border Protection Service – Minister media release
New Southern Ocean Patrol vessel – 28 April 2010
Seaforce has been engaged to provide a vessel, crew and all supporting logistics. Norwegian company, DOF Subsea, has provided a vessel under lease, which will undergo modifications in Newcastle (Australia) to meet the capability requirements for Customs and Border Protection patrols.
“The government appreciates the assistance from DOF in securing this state-of-the-art vessel, which has a significant ice capability and meets stringent environmental requirements,” Mr O’Connor said.
The 106 metre long vessel will be named Ocean Protector for the duration of the contract and is expected to be ready for operations in August this year.
